この度は、伊豆半島広域を舞台にした「IZU TRAIL JOURNEY 2025」というトレイルの旅に、さまざまな形で関わってくださり、誠にありがとうございました。
本年のITJは、私たちにとって新たな挑戦と変化の節目となる大会でした。
以下のような取り組みをスタートさせることができたのも、関わってくださった皆さま一人ひとりのご理解とご協力があってこそです。
• フィニッシュ会場を修善寺温泉中心部へ移設
• ITJ70k 上位3名への賞金授与
• EXPOを過去最大となる33ブースへ拡大
• 「BWITHU」など、レース以外の関連イベントの実施
• LIVE配信やSNS発信の強化
レース本番は、第13回目にして初めて雨の中での開催となりました。
天城山中では予報を上回る降雨となり、非常に厳しいコンディションとなりましたが、それでもこのコースに挑戦してくださった選手の皆さん、そして雨に打たれながら旅を支えてくださった TEAM ITJ の皆さんのお力添えにより、大きな事故なくこの旅を終えることができました。
※ TEAM ITJ とは、スポンサーの皆さま、ボランティアの皆さま、地域の皆さまなど、大会を支えてくださるすべての方々を指して、私たちが心を込めて呼んでいる名前です。
また、この厳しい状況の中で、ご自身のレースを断念し、救護活動にご協力くださったランナーがいらっしゃったと伺っています。その献身的な行為に、心より敬意と感謝を表します。該当される選手の方には、有償にはなりますが次回大会の出走権を授与させていただきます。現在確認を進めておりますので、お心当たりのある方は大会事務局までご連絡ください。
一方で、今回使用したコースにつきましては、広範囲にわたりメンテナンスが必要な状況となっています。現在、復旧作業の準備を急ピッチで進めておりますが、これには多くの TEAM ITJ の皆さんの力が必要となります。
もし可能でしたら、今後のメンテナンス活動にもご協力をいただけましたら幸いです。
また、今後のITJの方向性を考えるため、本大会より大会後サーベイを実施いたします。THE NORTH FACE様のご協力により、抽選でのプレゼントもご用意しておりますので、選手の皆さん、ボランティアの皆さんにはぜひご協力をお願いいたします。
最後に、修善寺温泉地区中心部における約10時間にわたる交通規制にご理解とご協力を賜りました、修善寺温泉区の皆さま、修善寺温泉旅館協同組合の皆さま、修禅寺ならびに修禅寺護持会の皆さまに、心より感謝申し上げます。
また、許可申請にご尽力いただいた静岡県および伊豆市の道路管理者の皆さま、そして国内では前例の少ない申請内容に対し、多大なるご指導とご理解をもって許可をいただきました静岡県警伊豆中央警察署の皆さまにも、深く御礼申し上げます。
本年のレースは本当に多くの出来事があり、まだ語り尽くすことはできませんが、この旅に関わってくださったすべての皆さまに、重ねて心より感謝申し上げます。
私たちにできることは決して多くはありません。
それでも私たちは、これからも
「伊豆で、人とトレイルと地域をつなぐハブ」
として、伊豆の地で活動を続けてまいります。

[To Everyone Who Was Involved in IZU TRAIL JOURNEY 2025
— As a Hub Connecting People, Trails, and the Community in Izu —]
This is Chiba, the Overall Producer of the event.
Thank you very much for being involved, in various ways, in IZU TRAIL JOURNEY 2025, a trail journey set across the Izu Peninsula.
This year’s ITJ marked an important turning point for us, as we embraced new challenges and changes. None of the initiatives below would have been possible without the understanding and support of every person involved.
• Moving the finish venue to the center of Shuzenji Onsen
• Awarding prize money to the top three finishers of the ITJ 70k
• Expanding the EXPO to a record 33 booths
• Hosting events beyond the race itself, such as BWITHU
• Strengthening communication through live broadcasts and social media
Race day became the first rainy edition in the event’s 13-year history.
In the Amagi Mountains, rainfall exceeded forecasts, resulting in extremely challenging conditions. Even so, thanks to the athletes who took on this course and to TEAM ITJ, who supported this journey while enduring the rain, we were able to complete the event without any major accidents.
TEAM ITJ is the name we use with deep appreciation to refer collectively to everyone who supports the event—our sponsors, volunteers, local communities, and all others who make this journey possible.
We were also informed that, under these harsh conditions, some runners chose to give up their own races in order to assist with medical support. We would like to express our deepest respect and gratitude for this selfless act.
The runners concerned will be awarded guaranteed entry to a future event (with an entry fee). We are currently confirming the details, and we kindly ask anyone who believes this applies to them to contact the race office.
At the same time, the course used for this year’s race now requires maintenance across a wide area. We are moving quickly to prepare for restoration work, but this effort will require the cooperation of many members of TEAM ITJ. If you are able to support these maintenance activities, we would be truly grateful.
In addition, to help guide the future direction of ITJ, we will be conducting a post-event survey starting with this year’s race. With the generous support of THE NORTH FACE, we are offering gifts through a prize draw. We kindly ask both runners and volunteers to take part.
Finally, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to the residents of the Shuzenji Onsen area, the Shuzenji Onsen Ryokan Association, Shuzenji Temple and the Shuzenji Temple Preservation Society, for their understanding and cooperation during approximately ten hours of traffic restrictions in the center of Shuzenji.
We also extend our deep thanks to the road administrators of Shizuoka Prefecture and Izu City, as well as to the Izu Chuo Police Station of the Shizuoka Prefectural Police, who provided extensive guidance and approval for permit applications that are still rare in Japan. We will continue striving to contribute, even in a small way, to the sustainable development of the region.
This year’s race was filled with many unforgettable moments—far too many to fully recount here. Once again, we would like to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who took part in this journey.
What we can do may be limited, but we will continue our activities in Izu as
a hub connecting people, trails, and the community.
