Dear trail runners around the world,
I would like to express my sincere sympathy to those affected by the COVID-19 infection and wish a speedy recovery. I would also like to express my heartfelt respect to all the medical professionals who are on the front lines of healthcare and welfare services.
We have announced earlier that this year's ITJ will be held in December as usual. Yet, we regret to inform you that, in view of the current situation of COVID-19 infection in Japan, we have decided to limit participation in this year's race to residents of Japan only as in last year. For this reason, we have decided to carry out the race registration procedure in Japanese language only. We appreciate the understanding of all the runners living outside of Japan.
We hope that the COVID-19 pandemic will be brought under control as soon as possible and that we will be able to meet runners from all over the world in Izu again.
